Kartik Aaryan will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar in the ambitious venture Chandu Champion, to be directed by Kabir Khan. The film marks the first collaboration between the actor – director duo and audiences couldn’t be more excited about it. Akshay Kumar has briefly commented about his array of failures at the box office in the past year. In 2022, the actor faced a string of flops including Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, and Ram Setu. Even this year’s Selfiee failed to make any waves at the box office. The actor has now admitted that box office numbers do bother him. Actress Ameesha Patel recently surrendered at the Ranchi Civil Court in connection to a cheque bounce case. She was granted bail by the senior division judge DN Shukla and was asked to appear before the court again on June 21. The case dates back to 2018 when producer and businessman Ajay Kumar Singh accused her of not returning the money she allegedly took from him to produce a film. In a formal letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has expressed its demand for a ban on the screening of the movie Adipurush. The AICWA alleges that the film, based on the epic Ramayana, defames the revered figures of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman, thus hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus and followers of Sanatan Dharma. The letter states that Adipurush is a "complete disaster" that undermines the faith of devotees in Shri Ram and the Ramayana. The AICWA specifically points out the portrayal of Lord Ram and Ravan as video game characters and criticizes the dialogues that have caused offence among Indians both within the country and abroad. The Mumbai Police has taken a significant step in response to a complaint of sexual harassment filed against Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumar Modi, operation head Sohail Ramani, and executive producer Jatin Bajaj. The case was registered at the Powai police station after a popular actress associated with the show made serious allegations against the accused. As per a report by ANI, acting promptly, the city police conducted a preliminary investigation into the matter and subsequently registered a First Information Report (FIR) under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Sanjay Dutt invests in alcobev startup Cartel & Bros expanding liquor portfolio in India

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has made an investment in Cartel & Bros, an alcobev (alcoholic beverage) startup aiming to import and retail a range of liquor brands in India. The startup's initial offering is Glenwalk, a blended Scotch whisky imported from Scotland. Future plans include introducing vodka, tequila, and single malt brands.  Mokksh Sani, one of the five partners of the venture and promoter of liquor retail chain Living Liquidz, revealed that the company has secured a factory lease in Scotland.
